Do you have a favorite makeup product? I used to be more obsessed with lipsticks than any other makeup product, but as my collection continues to grow, I appreciate blush even more.

Blushes are perfect for adding a touch of color to my cheeks and giving my complexion a nice, healthy glow. My skin tone can appear quite dull, especially as we step into the colder months. So it's handy to have some good blushes. Blushes can come in cream or gel forms, but powder blushes are great because they're a classic.

Korean cosmetics brand DESIGNATION offers a variety of makeup in cute and minimal packaging that always grabbed my attention. The latest additions to my makeup collection are hers Fluffy powder blushes. These blushes come in six colors: Toast, Bashful, Perky, Cuddly, Yummy, and Halo. Read on to find out why they're perfect for fall:

Perky

The shadow: a living coral

I usually tend to have blushes with a rose-pink hue, but I've tried to break out of my comfort zone and try colors that I normally wouldn't choose. Perky is the perfect shade to experiment with and I'm actually surprised that I like it! It's a very fresh and fun color that instantly brightens my complexion, and it's highly pigmented too. I prefer to build it up slowly for a more subtle finish.

Cuddly

The shadow: a warm orange

I love the warmth this shadow brings on my cheeks! It reminds me of warm summer days and while I think it's better for spring or summer, I can definitely imagine reaching for it in fall and winter – especially on days when my complexion appears dull and a quick fix needed.

Shy

The shade: a light, cool peach

I can only imagine how soft and beautiful this color would look on lighter skin tones, as unfortunately it doesn't show up well on my tanned skin. If you have light skin tone with cool undertones, this is the perfect shade to add a natural flush to your cheeks.

Delicious

The shade: a cool baby pink

I find "Yummy" is the cutest shade of the six blushes, and I would have considered it the best if it just matched my skin tone. Since I have warm undertones, cool blushes can be difficult for my skin tone as they usually look ashy or muddy. Do you have cool undertones? In this case, this shade enhances your natural glow by 100%.

gloriole

The shade: a rosy pink

Halo is the perfect shade of pink for medium skin tones with warm undertones. Every time I apply this blush and look in the mirror, it's almost like I haven't used the blush at all. It looks very natural, which is what I like to strive for. This shade really mimics the natural redness of my skin!

toast

The shade: a soft beige

Never have I ever tried a blush like toast. This shade of light brown hue may not add a vibrant pop of color to my complexion but it does add a natural looking depth and warmth to my skin. Aside from being used as a blush, I find that using it as a contour shadow works perfectly. If, like me, you have medium brown skin, this shade can serve as a blush and contour.

My final thoughts

My favorite thing about these blushes is how long they last. Even though they're in powder form, they don't look cake-like at all. However, it's important to have a good base first, especially in the fall and winter.

Dry spots are common in the colder months. Therefore, I should prep my skin well with a moisturizing serum and moisturizer before applying makeup. This way my makeup goes on smoothly and my blushes last longer without dandruff.
