I'm a fan of gel texture and pretty packaging, and Daymellow's soothing gels are definitely pretty. What caught my eye, however, were the ingredients. Vitamin is not an uncommon part of skin care products, but gold and diamond aren't that common. Sure, they are used in some luxury lines, but I never settled for the hype surrounding these ingredients. The gel texture has always been my favorite as I have oily skin. Daymellow's soothing gels are recommended not only for skin care, but also for hair care, body care and shaving. With their multifunctional uses and luxurious ingredients, I wanted to try them out right away!
Gold Aloe Soothing Gel
Ingredients and effects: Infused with Aloe arborescens Leaf extract to moisturize and soften the skin, as well as glacier water and gold for a cooling effect.
Skin care: This soothing gel was slightly sticky when applied, but absorbed well and left a refreshing finish. The watery formula moisturized my skin and controlled my oily T-zone a little. Of the three gels I tried, the Gold Aloe Gel was the most soothing on my face, even when I didn't keep it in the refrigerator.
Personal hygiene: The gold aloe gel was the most fragrant of the three and had a subdued floral scent. It's a great substitute for lotion and left a really nice, subtle scent on my skin. daymellow recommends mixing it with body oil for moisturizing effects. This made my skin feel moisturized longer, but felt slightly moist by noon.
Hair care: Unlike other hair products, it didn't make my hair feel heavy or greasy. It was very light and refreshing and moisturized my hair well enough when I used it after a shower.
Shaving gel: I had never tried using shaving gels so I was excited to see how that would play out. The gel was soothing on the skin, but it didn't give me the close shave I wanted.
Diamond Cactus Soothing Gel
Ingredients and effects: Infused with opuntia coccinellifera Fruit extract and hyaluronic acid help the skin retain moisture, as well as 1500ppb diamond powder and silver flakes to keep the skin moist and radiant.
Skin care: My skin looked lighter after a week or two with this gel. My skin didn't feel heavy with the product and worked as expected. When I used it with Daymellow & # 39; s massage healer, the gel absorbed even better.
Personal hygiene: All gels are water based, so none of them are particularly sticky. This was the least sticky and felt very comforting, especially after a hot bath. It had a subtle odor reminiscent of freshly cut grass, which added to its calming effect when I massaged it all over my body.
Hair care: Since it had an incredibly smooth texture, it was great as a hair serum. Like the gold aloe gel, it was moisturizing and left pretty silver stains on my hair.
Shaving gel: Although this gel made my skin a little more moist than the Gold Aloe Calming Gel, it also didn't give me the close shave I wanted.
Vitamin Bamboo Soothing Gel
Ingredients and effects: The vitamin Bamboo calming gel is made with bamboo leaf extract and mixed Aloe arborescens Leaf extract for moisturizing the skin, while vitamin capsules smooth the skin and the vitamin complex gives it a radiant shine.
Skin care: The vitamin capsules act as a gentle exfoliant when the gel dissolves, leaving behind light yellow residues and small, almost grain-like particles. I really liked massaging it over my skin as it has got really textured lately. The scent was very soothing for the senses and reminded me of a forest.
Personal hygiene: For personal care, this was my favorite! I love exfoliating my skin, but there aren't many options on the market that match my criteria. This incredibly soothing formula contains vitamin capsules that provide a gentle exfoliation while moisturizing the skin. While the formula absorbs, the capsules won't stick, so they will simply fall off, leaving the skin smooth and hydrated.
Hair care: This gel left my hair as hydrated as the others. The vitamin particles are great for massaging the scalp, but with their yellowish-brown color, you don't want to let the gel take effect.
Shaving gel: What made me love this soothing personal care gel made me dislike it as a shaving gel. I was afraid the particles would damage my skin and like the other gels, this didn't give me a clean shave.
|Skin care||personal hygiene||Hair care||Shaving gel|
Overall, all three soothing gels were great for the skin, body, and even hair care, but didn't impress me as shaving gels. I would recommend using the gels after shaving as they are fantastic for soothing irritated skin.
