Why are you here?

I'm here because there's no other place I'd rather be. There is literally nowhere else where I can apologize to myself and be wholeheartedly accepted and supported by a community of like-minded people who share my experiences and take root for me every day.

What beauty advice are you completely ignoring?

I am a caffeine monster. I drink more tea and coffee than water, which is a major sin among beauty gurus. Additionally, caffeine and fear keep me up late every night which is another crime. I deserve prison.

Which top 5 products deserve a permanent place on your vanity?

This is an ingenious cleansing balm that effortlessly removes all traces of make-up and water-resistant sunscreen. It's pure luxury.

This is one of the few retinol products that my skin can tolerate consistently over a long period of time, and it has the clinical data to back it up.

This is the only moisturizer I've ever really loved.

This is a simple sunscreen that can be worn all year round.

My dry skin and lips cannot live without this ointment. I'm not exaggerating.

What have you been doing to your skin (product or treatment) that has had the greatest result?

I trust in sunscreen. Rain or shine. Inside or outside.

What do people get into your DMs about the most? And what is the answer?

“What's your Cash App? We want to send you money.” LOL … kidding! The most asked question is, “What's your favorite sunscreen ever?” This is the real heck of a question I've been asking for My different moods require multiple sunscreens. When I feel like it and want to see people, I put on a tinted sunscreen that also serves as the foundation for multiple tasks. (My favorite is Colorescience Sunforgettable Total Protection Face Shield SPF 50, $ 39. ) When I'm in bed all day chilling out from depression and anxiety, a simple, affordable one like Purito Comfortable water SPF50 ($ 16) is enough. On a hot and humid summer day that makes me feel somewhere in the middle, EltaMD UV Clear SPF46 ($ 36) is my jam! My goal in life is to be rich enough to have a collection of my favorite sunscreens to choose from every day.

What makes or breaks a product for you as someone who has tried so many?

Since I've tried many products, I have an idea if the product will work for me just by researching the ingredients. I'm not interested in being a guinea pig and so I don't have to try every single product as I know my skin doesn't like the ingredients. Because I'm dry and sensitive, some of my deal breakers dry out alcohol, witch hazel, and common irritants like fragrances and essential oils. Unless the formula with these ingredients at the end of the list is AMAZING, I don't even want to get my money-maker into it. On the positive side, I love products that contain powerful ingredients like niacinamide, retinaldehyde, and azelaic acid. and are gentle on my skin barrier. The key is gentle. Protect your skin barrier as much as you protect your peace. Glow guaranteed!

Why are you here?

My goal is simple: create awareness. It's not about pointing your fingers, it's about creating space. The representation in terms of root tones and modeling in your campaign has drawn a lot of attention in recent years, but I'm trying to diversify a more niche sector of the industry. A social media editor mentioned that they didn't post black hands because they weren't doing that well. Brown Girl Hands proves that black hands can be aesthetic, they can be beautiful, and people want to see and engage with them. What I love about the front end is the small community we have built. Behind the scenes, I think it's great that brands are making an effort to create bigger content that I love to offer, while also supporting the black creators.

What beauty advice are you completely ignoring?

Get my brows ready. I know a lot of girls love to sculpt, pinch, grow, and thread. I've never touched my browbones and I love them for it.

Which top 5 products deserve a permanent place on your vanity?

The perfect next level facial oil to end your routine. It feels like a dream and smells like a spa. I love that it's organic (see ingredients!) And still creates a prestige / luxury experience.

I always have a glass of it in the shower to remove my makeup at the end of a long day, and it doesn't cost an arm or a leg.

This is hands down the best lip balm / gloss I've ever tried. It feels like a moisturizing cloud and I love how overly shiny it is

I'm known for my brows, and although I don't change them, I fill them in. For the most natural, feathery look, I use Brow Flick in black and Boy Brow in brown. I love mixing the colors.

My signature makeup look is super light and submerged, and this palette helps me achieve both. I use the highlighter side for a natural glow and the pink over my nose and cheeks for a fresh beach look. After all, I'm from South Florida.

So what are you going to do?

When I take photos, I use Glossier instead of hand lotion Futuredew ($ 24) for a nice but natural glow, especially when I'm shooting in natural light. I also apply cuticle oil all the time. (My favorite is out Bare hands.) At night I love a good hand cream for moisturizing. I use what I have right now, be it luxury like Augustinus Bader or something that I grab at Target like Nivea that I love.

What are your three best nail polish colors of all time?

Literally any color from J. Hannah. For shooting, I love the Expressie line. They dry super fast for my millions of polishing changes. My favorites are Expresso Double Shot (warm brown), Energized & Wise (brown coral), and Don & # 39; t Hate, Curate (mustard yellow).

What's the most powerful thing your hands have done this year?

Poll! I've made my choices for the primaries and I'm ready to do it again in November.

Why are you here?

I'm on social media to inspire women and men to create colorful, adventurous and approachable looks. I believe in skin that looks like skin, but I also want to show that it's fun too! I give brutally honest reviews of products, I want to make sure the products I advertise have a wide range of colors, and I always give affordable options. I suffer from adult acne and have very sensitive skin. Hence, I always recommend and review products that help people with the same skin problems.

What beauty advice are you completely ignoring?

I'm ignoring the "You need a 10 step skin care routine" rules and the "You need a full morning skin care routine" rules. The reason I do this is how sensitive my skin is. It's just not practical to use all of these products every day and night. As long as I wash my face without it feeling firm, leaving no residue, moisturizing, and wearing SPF, I'm good to go!

Which top 5 products deserve a permanent place on your vanity?

This is a skin care investment, but well worth the money! It melts off your makeup so easily – even stubborn mascara. No other oil-based cleanser can do this as easily as this one without my skin feeling peeled off!

Of the extensive range of detergents I own, this is the one I always reach for! It literally feels like milk on my face! My skin always feels clean and moisturized at the same time.

Browsing is probably one of the most important steps in my routine and the function that I get the most compliments on. This forehead product is my secret weapon. It gives you the perfect, natural, hair-like strokes. With a little practice and a light hand, this could be anyone's secret weapon!

This is another product that is well worth the money! These lip balm products really help in maintaining that coated lip look without looking fake. It goes really well with pretty much every lip color I wear! The Pillow Talk shade is a great "my lips but better" shade, and Foxy Brown is the perfect neutral brown that looks great with red and berry lips too.

Finally a bronzer to recommend to all of my friends! The formula is perfectly matte (non-drying) and the color range is PHENOMENAL!

What is a beauty cheater that surprised you how close it is to the original product?

A fraudster who amazes me at how close it is to the original product is Milani Cosmetics Cheek kiss Liquid Blush ($ 10) for Glossier Cloud color ($ 18)! Both are runny and most Cheek Kiss paints look exactly like the Cloud Paint paints. The opacity of the product is also very similar!

What are the three most important elements for your editorial look?

Fluffy brows, long lashes, and either bright eyeshadow or eyeliner.

What are your secrets to catching good light?

Life in the sunshine! Standing near a window (not directly in the light) gives you the perfect lighting for your skin and makeup.

Why are you here?

I discovered the creative and cosmopolitan universe of Instagram – I love the vibe – sharing, interactivity, support, and the creative mood board side of social media. I studied design and I love textures and materials, but I always had a hard time expressing that until I got to beauty. I'm such a make-up enthusiast and through Instagram I was able to express not only my art but also my personality.

What beauty advice are you completely ignoring?

I never understood why we associate the use of certain colors with the color of the eyes. For me, beauty is an art. It's up to you to play with colors and dare to break the rules.

Which top 5 products deserve a permanent place on your vanity?

I'm so excited that I discovered Uzza. The products use high quality ingredients from Morocco and the composition is safe. I love the smell and the finish is moisturizing and light. My skin absolutely loves it. The moisturizer is a must have!

I am obsessed with SVR Laboratory products. A friend of mine introduced me to the brand and they absolutely destroyed it. All of the products are fantastic and easily adapt to different skin types and any type of routine. I love their cleanser, their SPF products, and their targeted skin care!

Charlotte Tilbury's Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder is WOW. It's so fine, natural and radiant. It blurs imperfections and brightens the complexion.

All of the colors are beautiful, but my favorite is Diamond Milk. The finish and color are amazing on all skin tones. My favorite tip is to apply it as a highlighter for a shiny and damp finish!

I discovered the MUA Academy brand in Beauty Bay and the blush is changing the game. Plus, the price is so affordable. For those who love liquid blushes, this is what you need on your vanity!

What's on your Beauty Mood Board? Where do you get your Beauty Mood Board from? Where do you find inspiration?

Oh my god, that's an interesting question! Whenever I feel inspired by makeup, my office becomes a mess! I have to perceive, observe and test the products with one another so that I can play with interesting color combinations and textures. So I basically take out all of my makeup, put it all on the floor, and create my mood board. I also spend a lot of time on Pinterest. It's an amazing app.

What do you think is next for Instagrammable makeup trends?

Definitely the graphic liner trend, and I think we'll see more three-dimensional takes and accessories like stickers – floral designs, logos, fruit … LOL. l I would like to start this trend!

Are you going to share any secret under the radar spots where you can find cool accessories?

When it comes to fashion, I love going to thrift stores, especially when I'm looking for cool accessories! But I also buy a lot from ASOS Design.

Why are you here?

I'm here to celebrate young girls and women, be it in my personal life or through my platforms! I try my best to uplift others and promote trust because I really believe that in order to achieve your dreams and live your best life, you must fully love yourself. In my view, everyone is beautiful in their own way and I really want my followers to love what makes them unique. I was teased about my freckles and my curls. Crazy because those are two of the most fascinating things that make me who I am. What I once made fun of is now being celebrated online.

I will always thank my parents who trusted me from a young age. They really guide me on how to love myself for who I am, and I want to be able to do the same for my supporters. I give my best! But I can always do more and 2020 will really teach me that.

What beauty advice are you completely ignoring?

I model on the influence side of things and most of the photo shoots I go to, oddly enough, don't let my curls wear me off because they say it's distracting from the clothes and makeup. I don't really agree with that at all. If one day I own my own brand, I will ignore the beauty and fashion standards mentioned earlier. Whether clothing, hair care products, make-up or jewelry, I will book models and celebrate their true beauty through my campaigns.

Which top 5 products deserve a permanent place on your vanity?

It has minimal coverage, but it evens out my skin tone and lifts out any redness.

This is a liquid cream blush that looks so natural and beautiful on the skin, almost like my cheeks have been kissed by the sun.

This is an off-white highlight that will give you the most beautiful shine. I use this on both my face and my body.

Ugh, that's all. It keeps my lips super hydrated for a long period of time and it comes in a range of shades too.

I have a couple of these. The magnifying mirror and lighting features are amazing – perfect when doing detailed makeup looks or when I'm in a room that isn't well lit.

Take us through a typical laundry day.

Wash days always begin with a hot oil treatment and a deep nourishing mask. I let this sit and penetrate my strands for about 45 minutes. Then I hop in the shower to shampoo and condition. Next, I style my curls with my signature concoction, starting with a leave-in conditioner, followed by a curling cream and finally a jelly to set my curls in place before letting them air dry.

What is the key to cracked edges?

Combining a gel with your favorite pomade is key! When you do this, your edges will literally stay in place all day and all night. Using an edge brush, slide and straighten your baby hair. Magic.

Freckles are a trend people resort to today. How do you see the freckle love move?

It's cool. However, as someone named for their freckles, it shows me that we should never be too concerned with what people have to say about us or about beauty trends.
