A little late for the game, I recently saw the Taiwanese time travel love drama Someday or One Day, although it premiered on CTV last November. The first two episodes may be slow, but believe me, it is getting better!

The drama with Alice Ko Chia-yen as 27-year-old Huang Yu-hsuan and Greg Hsu Kuang-han as her late friend Wang Chuan-sheng begins with Huang receiving a mysterious tape after Wang's funeral. While listening to the band ("Last Dance" by the Taiwanese singer Wu Bai), Huang travels back in time and is in the body of 17-year-old Chen Yun-ru, who looks exactly like her. She also meets Li Tzu-wei, a teenager who looks exactly like Wang Chuan-sheng. From here, the story turns into a stunning fantasy of mystery, murder, friendship, love and atonement.
In short, Someday or One Day feels like a mix of Makoto Shinkais Your Name and Jay Chous The Secret (both Alice and Greg happened to be part of Jay Chou's music videos), but thrown in with deeper and more assignable characters and more nostalgia.
I should better stop at this point because it would be blasphemous to reveal his complicated plot. Still, it doesn't hurt to lure you on the trip by showing you what Huang is wearing everywhere! Huang's fashion style reflects her dynamic and pronounced personality, which is completely different from that of her “counterpart” Chen Yun-ru. I know I chose blouses, skirts, and blazers as a basic requirement for any office drama, but Huang's blouses are slightly different from Secretary Kim's. Perhaps due to the fact that she works in an advertising company, Huang often wears blouses with a twist, such as an asymmetrical cut or print, a contrasting panel, a wide lapel, puffed sleeves or a high-low hem.
Huang's blazers are well structured, light and often cut short. I particularly like her white moto, which is cropped at the waist and belted and looks like a cropped version of the trusted trench. I also adore her cropped jeans and suede jackets.
Asymmetrical skirts are easy to rock – just put a t-shirt in and let the tiered hem of the skirt speak for itself. Huang's picks make it even better with a frayed hem, a paper pocket waist or an all-over plaid.
Checks bring an effortless hint of prim and break the monotony of a monochrome outfit. Huang's verified numbers are available in gray, almond, and pine green. These are fail-safe options for the office.
How many different earrings did Huang wear? I lost the count, but I remember that many of them were inspired by nature and were available either in organic shapes or in natural materials like wood and mother of pearl.
The Mobius ring plays an important role in the drama. It symbolizes infinity and is the perfect design for couple rings. Huang and Wang's Mobius engagement rings are quoted by the French writer Simone de Beauvoir:
"Only if you want to see me
Our meeting would be important to me. "
