Michael Kors Is Leaving New York Vogue Week

Michael Kors is the latest designer to opt out of New York Fashion Week for the upcoming September season. Michael Kors shows have often opened the last day of NYC shows in the past, but all of this has changed because COVID-19 and the fashion community want a more consumer-oriented format for Fashion Week. Now designer Gucci will join and rethink the structure of the brand's fashion week.

In a statement too FashionThe designer explained: "I've been thinking for a long time that the fashion calendar has to change. It's exciting for me to see the open dialogue within the fashion community over the calendar – from Giorgio Armani to Dries Van Noten to Gucci to YSL to Big Retailers around the world – about ways we can slow down the process and improve the way we work. We have all had time to reflect and analyze things and I think many agree that it is time for a new approach for a new one is era, "he said. When the designer will show his next collection, he said: "Against this background, we will also reassess when the autumn collection will be released to the press and the public – most likely sometime between mid-March and mid-April."
