After an exciting first episode of Make the cutThe designers are back with the challenge of creating haute couture looks in Paris. "You have to be a couture-inspired, artistic show stopper," says Heidi Klum. "The second look should be a salable interpretation of that look." Participants take to the streets for inspiration and choose luxurious fabrics before returning to the studio to create masterpieces.
While some designers face the challenge, Martha Gottwald's lack of sewing experience causes her to fall behind and doubt herself. At some point she even leaves the studio and says that she is done. Tim Gunn encourages her to come back and do her best what she is willing to do.
The day of the runway show is coming and all designers are showing their glances at the historic Musée Des Arts Décoratifs. The judges Naomi Campbell, Nicole Richie, the fashion designer Carine Roitfeld and the designer Joseph Altuzarra come to Klum again to examine the appearance. Back in the studio, Martha leaves the competition – her high, accessible view is judged by the judges as unacceptable.
In an exciting way, Esther Perbandt wins her second challenge in a row with her powerful, monochrome appearance. We can't wait to see more episodes next week! Check them out on Amazon Prime. If you don't have a membership yet, you can get a free 30-day trial today.
